Voting in Sutton on the 5th May

April, 2022

What’s all the fuss with local elections and why should I vote?

In local government elections you are voting between one and three councillors to represent your ward (local neighbourhood/area) on the local council. So depending on where you live in the borough of Sutton will determine who you can vote for. You can find out your local Sutton representatives in the link below

Who you vote for as your local Sutton councillor will determine important aspects within your community including; transport, housing, recycling/waste, roads, planning, local green spaces and council run facilities (such as sport centres, libraries etc). So do check which each representative has to offer and how they could benefit you. Furthermore, your local council will have an impact on the amount of council tax you pay towards the London Borough of Sutton and with the cost of living at a peak there’s never been a better time to dive into the councillors representing Sutton and find out who shares a similar vision to you.
