As the craze of air fryers has really taken off this year, we wanted to help the cooks of Sutton use their air fryer to help prepare elements of their Christmas Dinner.
If you haven’t already tried cooking roast potatoes in the air fryer, why did you even buy one? Its simple, it’s a healthier cooking option and much easier to wash up. Whether your in SM1, SM2, SM3, SM4 or SM5, believe us cooking the Christmas roast potatoes has never been so easy. Now depending on the air fryer, you have, you may be able to pressure cook your potatoes in your air fryer for approximately 6 minutes prior to air frying. If you do not have this function, you would need to boil/steam your potatoes your usual way before roasting.
The next simple step is placing your potatoes into the air fryer, add a drop of oil, your preferred seasoning and give them a good toss. Set you air fryer to 190C for 30 minutes. Do check on your potatoes throughout the duration and give them a shake to evenly distribute colour and most importantly crunch!
If you sceptical of cooking your roast potatoes for the first time in your air fryer for Christmas day, then why not give the roasted carrots and parsnips a go? Simply cut your carrots and parsnips in to 2–3 inch lengths. Place in the air fryer with a dash of oil, a sprinkle of salt, and a sprig of thyme and air fry for around 20 minutes. Again, do keep an eye on your veggies throughout the duration of cooking and just before they are cooked, glaze with honey and finish in the air fryer for approx two minutes!
